Hamish Donaldson

Hamish Donaldson is a third-generation glass practitioner who carries forward the traditions of glassblowing and engraving into contemporary practice. Working at the intersection of digital precision and hand-drawn detail, he creates intricately engraved vessels using traditional colour-overlay techniques and hand-blown forms. Based on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, he began his career at his family’s workshop, Gordon Studio Glassblowers, before attending JamFactory’s Associate Program in Adelaide. A finalist in the FUSE Glass Prize in 2020 and 2024, and The RIGG Design prize 2025 at the NGV.
