Blowing a Fuse: Scott Chaseling
10-13 February 2025 - Poatina Arts Centre, Glass Studio
This workshop will be based around fusing tiles and components from sheet glass. These pieces will be picked up and constructed hot. A fast and fun four days. Kiln knowledge along with glass cutting skill is an advantage. The pieces will be picked up by Scott with the assistance of the workshop participant.
Kiln usage and glass cutting skills would be helpful.

About the artist
After studying in Australia, Chaseling travelled widely developing new works in new locations through teaching, residencies and workshops. Solo museum exhibitions have been in the European Museum of Contemporary Glass, Germany, the Musee du Verre, France and Canberra Museum and Gallery, Australia. In 2006 Chaseling was invited as the Levehulme Research Fellow to the University of Sunderland in the UK and has since lived and worked in Berlin, Germany and now Mittagong, Australia continuing his own art practice. Chaseling's work is represented in many international museums and private collections including the Australian National Gallery, Museum Kunst Palast. Dusseldorf Germany and 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Japan.
