Bronte Cormican-Jones
President
Bronte Cormican-Jones is a sydney-based visual artist and writer. Her practice is multidisciplinary, and her sculptural and installation works explore visual perception, architecture and the body. Bronte Cormican-Jones graduated graduated from Sydney College of the Arts, The University of Sydney in 2022 with first-class Honours in Visual Arts and a Bachelor of Visual Arts majoring in Sculpture and English Literature. She was awarded the FUSE Glass Prize David Henshall Emerging Artist Award in 2022 for her body-scale glass sculpture, Sightlines. In 2023 Cormican-Jones undertook residencies at the Adelaide JamFactory, Eramboo Artist Environment and Canberra Glassworks, as well as stuying a short course at Pilchuck Glass School in Washington, US. Her work was selected for the 2024 Milan Glass Bienalle, and she was commissioned to create a site-specific installation at the National Film and Sound Archive for the 2024 Canberra Art Biennial.
